Dorothy joined Buiten & Associates, LLC in 2015 as a Commercial Lines,  Account Manager with 31 years of industry experience.  Her insurance career began at The Hartford.  From there she spent 12 years with Universal Insurance Services, in claims, personal lines, marketing, and commercial lines.   The following 15 years were at Mapes Insurance, as a Commercial Lines Account Manager, working  primarily with Contractors.  Other programs of interest were working with Private Investigators, and former FBI Agents.

Dorothy graduated from Forest Hills Central HS, with honors.   She also attended Grand Valley State University.    She is a licensed P&C agent, with a CISR designation.  Dorothy enjoys a wide variety of artistic hobbies, including sketching, drawing, painting, and decorating.  She, her husband and son,  are the proud owners of five rescued animals.  A loveable, neurotic Sheltie, and four great cats.
