Shelley joined Buiten & Associates, LLC in 2016 with 30 years of industry experience primarily in personal lines and claims handling. Prior to joining Buiten, she was a producer at an insurance agency in the Grand Rapids Area and a customer service representative at an agency in Southeast Michigan. Her prior experience includes selling and servicing personal lines accounts, handling personal and commercial lines claims and agency marketing.

Shelley obtained her property & casualty license in 1983 and her life & health license in 1998, earning her Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) designation in 1997. Shelley enjoys time with her family including her 3 grandchildren, volunteering, boating and water skiing. She is an avid walker.
